I came to this forum seeking info on ALUMINUM 226 H-series cyl heads.
4 years ago, a friend of mine showed me a pair of cylinder heads & asked my help identifying them. They have no cast-in name or part numbers but I eventually identified them as matching the H-series 226 Inline-6 Ford engine. He's also asked my help in pricing them as he wants to sell them.
My biggest question now is - Where were aluminum heads used on H-series? Everyone I've asked has cast iron heads on their H-series. Is it possible these went on marine engines or industrial engines? The lack of a name or part number puzzles me too... like they might have been made for J.C.Whitney?
Any suggestions - Can you help me?
I don't know how to attach photos, but I can send them to you.if you reply to my email directly at [email protected] or call me at (248) 437-5528 (South Lyon)
    Thanking you in advance,
    Dan Eastwood

    Dear sir,
I am a MI guy too-anticipating the delivery of my newly purchased '52 F1 It has a modern engine and trans in it but I plan on removing that and installing the engine my dad pulled from his truck 50 years ago! He just passed in Nov. so this is kind of a project to remember dad. The truck is pretty clean but will need a lot of bits. I would love to discuss my project with you if you are willing. I am in Troy.

Thanks for the reply to my thread! I am interested in learning more about the vehicles you are working on, and if at all possible, I'd love to see some pictures of them. I can fill you in on more details about the project I am working on as well if you are interested.

Was wondering if you still have that heavy duty 3 speed transmission available? If not, I'm looking for a way to locate parts needed to rebuild mine. I've located most of the gears I need but am having a hard time locating the 2nd/3rd gear. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the help,

    Shawn Martinson

3 Speed Transmission - apparently I can't leave a PM yet due to low thread count. But I was wondering if you'd decided on a price for the T87D Trans?
