    Ok. I was debating using blue 243 but it's break free hold is 40 ft# which is almost 3 times the torqued value of the hold down bolts and didn't want to shear the bolt upon future dissasembly. I think I'll try 222 on the bottom half of the hold down bolts which has a hold of 50 in#, and one or two threads of lightly applied 243 halfway up. Thanks tugly

    So just curious, when you hot torque injectors you mentioned that you use a loctite, was it 222?

    SrFox, I have seen reports that the TFT reads lower than the laser thermometer on some trucks, where the formula is dead-on with my truck. You can try the formula ((A*256)+B)/8.9 to see if that matches your laser thermometer more closely.

    Hey I have seen some very informative post from you and have a question for you if you don't mind. I have a Ford 7.3 and run the Torque app with the Trans Fluid PID you have posted. Mine seems to measure the internal temp of the trans. I have checked both the pan temps and the return line temps with a laser thermometer and these temps are about 20 to 30 degrees less than what my Torque shows. I pull an 18,000 lb fifth wheel about 15,000 miles a year and many of these in the mountains. According to my Torque, I should have burnt my tranny years ago. Is there any way of calibrating the PID so the Torque will show 20 degrees less? I know I can just adjust mentally but I am too OCD to like that. I have a computer background so I know to not just mess with stuff without asking an expert first.

    Hello Rich, I was wondering if you have experience with the Ford modified ELM obd2 dongle. I thought I'd read somewhere that you have used these in the past, or now use one. My question is, I just received mine in the mail (Ford Modified ELM327) dongle and my 2 Iphones, Ipad and my Laptop will not recognize a signal from the ELM dongle. I tried in my Truck and my Ex as well and nothing. The red light does comes on. I've tried turning everything on and off in order that it might pk-up the BT signal. Nothing. I believe it's defective. I thought I would reach out to you before I box it up and send it back. Thank you sir..
