I may seem like a pain in the butt at first but please be patient. I'm not used to anyone giving a hoot @ the old '58. You are a breath of fresh air to a truck I cut my teeth on 30 yrs. ago. She's a short box styleside w/ a 302/c6 that I put in back then. If you don't mind, could I bug you from time to time @ thi truck? Thanks, Dean

Yes, but make sure the T-86 O/D is from a Ford.

Studebaker, Packard, Kaiser-Frazer, Nash, Hudson, Rambler, Willys and etc all used T-86's.

    1965/71 F100 & 1965/67 Galaxie, the O/D is a T-85N O/D, not the same.

Originally, the fuel pump had a glass bowl with a round ceramic fuel filter inside. Later, the ceramic filter was replaced by a paper filter.

Now you have a cannister fuel filter? Someone has replaced the original fuel pump with the later style.

This is prolly what you have: C4AZ9365B .. Fuel Filter (Motorcraft FG1A) / Available from Ford and parts stores.

I could not find the length of this cartridge filter or the metal can, but the filter itself is round and around 3" - 3 1/2" long.

This filter was used in most 1960/72 passenger cars, Bronco's, Econolines and 1964/72 trucks.

The truck is in really bad condition. Nothing is in good shape on the truck. I am just thinking the mechanical items should be good minus the engine. Cosmetics are horrible. I will try to get some pics posted of both trucks over the next couple days.

I didn't go to the place because the FTE member that was supposed to come here from WA never showed up.

Since I said I was going...I will go this Saturday, then will pass along the info.

The parts catalog shows the emblem as one piece, I noted where you typed that all you want is part of it.

cbass, I will take some pics tonight and send them to you. They are all of the 51 era, with the single carb in the center. What is your email so I can send pics later.
