I've used both and have been happy with both. The Airtex was the first one I've ever used in a repair and it's still going strong in my Excursion, 6 years and around 80k miles later.

If I had a choice though, and the prices were similar, I always lean towards OEM. I put an OEM on my '02 F250 and my neighbors F350.

I had some manpower available to me at the time I did that mod, five guys who helped me lift off my bed. That makes everything available at the top of the tank without having to drop it. I suspect if you have the additional help, that it would be far easier than dropping the tank (unless your bed attach bolts are all heavily rusted). Just a thought... -Pop-

I can't evaluate if doing the Hutch mod was worthwhile, as I do things for preventive maintenance purposes, not reactive to a problem. As a result, I have very few problems. Sorry I can't be of more help in your evaluation. -Pop-

Removing the red line was giving me too high boost with a tightened rod and the ATS compr housing. I opted to go with the Turbo Master for adjustablity and it's ablility to hold boost better up to the set point. The stock WG tends to start bleeding off earlier. I set the Turbo Master to a max of 26-28 psi.
