Hey,
New to the forum so I'll give a little history on my 89 Bronco. I bought it 8+ years ago for $500 and haven't touched it. My neighbor's daughter was driving it when she heard a noise and drove it till it stopped. Turns out the noise was the fan breaking loose and into the radiator. We were able to drive it after replacing radiator, fan, oil but it did run rough. It will run again before any nay sayers get a word in. With those circumstances how would y'all proceed? I have good mechanical knowledge and not intimidated by the process. Thanks for any shared wisdom.

I have factory A/C in my '79 Bronco. The York compressor appear to be leaking so the previous owner disconnected it. Before I convert everything to 134A and a Sanden compressor, I want to make sure everything's working. I know on a newer system I can jump the pressure switch to see if the compressor just getting power. I've looked through wiring diagrams but can't seem to locate the pressure switch on this one. Does anyone have any idea where the pressure switch is? I see there's some kind of temperature switch inside the box that contains the evaporator. Is that it? I'm used to seeing it on a line or on the dryer.

Thanks!

My question is can I use the distributor and fender mounted ignition control module from the 96 in my 91 or should I just continue to use the ICM mounted distributor from my 91 on the new engine?

I'm building a 302 for my '83. It has the C6 and stock 3.55 gears. I'm wanting to run 33s. 4.11 gears ain't in my budget currently and I'm not even gonna attempt to re gear it myself. I was wondering if a 2000 RPMA stall speed converter will help any? I want good street manners and good off road capability. The current engine is siezed up and it's never gonna spin over again and I'm not sure I'll be able to get my converter back off the junk engine. It's too much work in my opinion. It'll eventually get 4.11s front and rear. I don't want a useless pavement pounder that will struggle on the smallest obstacle. I want a good trail truck.

Idle its 0.11
Open its 0.56
So my question after looking at RA and local parts stores and now seeing these things up to 80 bucks... idk which version i am to buy. almost none of these look like the same connection. All of them have 3 pins in a circle/triangle shape.
Mine uses 3 pins but in a 4 pin box? pattern with one ping not being used. Some of these sensors with 3 pins look to come with a plug that I guess I am meant to replace on my truck?
Is it correct to think that is what i am meant to do, buy the sensor and replace the harness with the one that came with it and install the sensor or am I missing something?
