Hi F-150 owners,

We’re CarpuTech, a professional manufacturer focused on OEM-style infotainment upgrades for Ford trucks. If you’re driving a 2015–2020 Ford F-150/F-250 with the factory 8" screen or older SYNC system, this upgrade is one of the cleanest ways to modernize your interior while keeping the factory look intact.

We’ve developed a 12" OEM-style infotainment screen upgrade inspired by the factory Lincoln-style layout — designed to blend naturally into the dashboard instead of looking like an aftermarket tablet.

Key Features:

🖥️ 12" OEM-style vertical touchscreen – factory-style appearance that fits the F-150 interior perfectly

📱 Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto – navigation, music, calls, and apps made easy

🔄 SYNC2 to SYNC3 style upgrade – modernizes the user experience dramatically

🎯 Retains OEM vehicle functions – climate controls, steering wheel buttons, cameras, and factory settings stay functional

🎵 Compatible with factory audio systems – supports original sound system integration

🧭 Modern navigation & multimedia support – smoother and more intuitive daily use

This upgrade is ideal for truck owners who want a factory+ interior upgrade instead of a flashy aftermarket setup.

A lot of F-150 owners want modern tech without losing the rugged OEM Ford feel — this setup was built exactly with that in mind.

In addition, we also offer a Sync 2 / Sync 3 to Sync 4 upgrade kit.

Greetings,

Question.I have, or am about to have completed a coolant system flush IAW Haynes manual instructions (using distilled water). I drained and flushed about 7 1/2 gallons of distilled water through the system, drain/fill/flush, until I was draining clear clean water from the radiator. Problem. I was only able to get a little over 1 gallon of new coolant (yellow/Motorcraft) into the system. Been trying to burp out the air bubbles, and still it won't take the rest. Is it possible that there's still a lot of water in the system? I hate to open the drain and lose new coolant. Any help is appreciated already. smile

Greetings,
I am about to replace the spark plugs on my 2016 F-150 XLT 5.0. It has about 61,500 miles on it and as far as I know the plugs have never been changed. Haven't owned it long, and the CARFAX doesn't reflect a spark plug change, although the prior owner had it serviced regularly at the place he bought it from. The Owners Manual say 100,00, but I think that's a good bit too long. Probably see gas mileage suffering way before then, although right now the truck runs fine, but maybe already getting less than optimal MPG. I plan to buy the plugs below from Amazon of about $100.00. Copied this directly from Amazon. I looked at a u-tube clip or two, and the job doesn't look to be too much of a hassle. Any suggestions or recommendations based on your experience? Thanks in advance.
New Motorcraft SP547 Spark Plug (8 PACK) Finewire Platinum

Seems like I burned about 2 quarts of oil in between oil changes which I do every 5 to 6000 miles. Is that excessive? I’m using penzoil high mileage 5W-20 full synthetic with OEM oil filter.

Bizarre issue after drive in rain 2016 F-150 Supercrew 5L

The truck is a 2016 5L Supercrew 4x4 107k. Lastnight driving home about 25 miles mostly interstate in moderate rain (wipers on low, good visibility, no standing water). We drive home running 60-65 mph most of the way when we get off at the exit to our area the wrench light comes on. Truck idling fine no odd behavior turn the radio down a pay attention type moment. We drive for another 1.5 miles on paved city street to our home roll in the drive way to my spot and before I could put it in park the truck just dies 1st thing I noticed was the charge light but that was just a side effect of the engine being off I presumed at the time.

Truck would crank without starting and continued cranking even when I let the key roll back to on. Stopped cranking when turned key to off position. Turned key back to on position all appropriate warning indicators come on. I got the wrench light not the check engine light I just wanted to see if it was operational in addition to the other indicators trying narrow the issue down.

After letting the truck sit for 5 minutes I push the remote start button on the key fob and it starts right up no issue. I walk back out to the truck unlock the door get in and put the key in the ignition turn it to run and the engine dies. So now it's fishy it'll run on remote but not normal. And with the key once it starts cranking out continues to crank until the key is turned back to off.

This morning I go out put the key in and it fired right up no light no issue just like normal. Plugged my scanner in, no new DTC's did a all module scan nothing current.

No visible water intrusion in the footwells or under the hood up near the cowl area and fuse box. I'm at a loss as to what's lurking. The truck hasn't given me any real issues to date.

it did have some module codes that weren't current the last code when I searched indicated I should have turn the HVAC off before the test maybe.

5.0 intake manifold upgrade

My 2017 F150 5.0 started throwing intermittent dtc's for the IMRC. Since I'm replacing the intake anyway I'm considering upgrading for better performance. I was considering the Boss 302 or an intake from Gen 3 5.0. My truck has 4.56 gears and 35's and runs great with that set up even for towing but there is a noticeable struggle towing heavier loads or uphill. I understand the 302 sacrifices low end torque and from what I'm gathering, the gen 3 intake might offer a happy medium. My truck is already tuned with 85MM throttle body, CAI, and dual exhaust. I don't hot rod the truck and rarely go over 85 max when not towing. Anyone have any insight or suggestions on the best way to address the intake issue?

Thanks
