My 2013 F350 6.2 liter just turned over 281,000 miles. It runs as good as new. With so many miles, what are some maintenance items I need to be thinking about? Thanks

I have a crank no start issue. Pulled the fuel pump and It bench tested fine. I have RCM trouble code B11D8-14 active. Circuit short to ground or open. I followed the diagnostic tree pinpoint test and everything is testing out fine. Replaced fuel pump module followed by the RCM as per the pinpoint test and have not gotten anywhere. Am very stuck and could use some help/suggestions.

As far as I understand the RCM is signaling the fuel pump module to cut fuel via the "event circuit" which depowers the fuel pump in the event of an accident.

I had a 2017 f350 6.2 with 126k miles, bought it from auction as it needed a fender and door from a fender bender. Fixed and drove it around a bit this past winter/spring with no issues.

I sold it about 3 weeks ago, and a few days after selling it the new owner called and said it didn't start in the morning. I checked it all over, and couldn't find anything wrong. Ran the de-choking procedure (holding accel pedal down while cranking) and got it to start. It spit a bunch of raw gas out of the tailpipe, and on the test drive wanted to die when coming to a stop, but eventually started running fine. 1 week later it did the same thing and the new owner was able to start it by doing the dechoking procedure. Few days later same thing again.

2 days ago I had the PCM updated to the latest calibration being there was a TSB that says this could be the issue.

Now he just called and said it struggled to start, started, then died. He tried the dechoking procedure and again it started, stumbled a bit, and died. He says it won't start and smells like raw fuel again.

I'm at my wits end with this thing, and I don't know what to do. Also worth noting that he's been driving it 1000 miles/week so it'll go a long time inbetween having this issue. Also there's never been any codes in the computer. Doubt its related but it pushes the dipstick an inch out of the dipstick tube every time you drive it.

I replaced the pcv valve and evap solenoid weeks ago, and it has a k&n air intake.

I have a 2013 F250 with 6.2L

Today it will start, but barely, have to work the throttle to keep it running. May die, but will restart. It runs horrible, backfires while at idle an low rpms (below ~1200) out the exhaust and I think a couple of times out the intake. Runs rough, will keep running if held at 2,000 rpm runs is rough, but doesn't backfire. It may idle OK for a minute or so at 750 rpm, then you can hear it tune itself and starts to miss and slow idle to 400-500 rpm. Sometimes I can keep it running by modulating the throttle that gradually brings the rpms up.

Error codes are lean codes and misfires

The symptoms initially were hard starting with miss fire for the 30 - 60 seconds then would run fine. Then occasionally it would make a preignition pinging sound on initial acceleration. Now it's degraded to what I wrote above.

What's been done to this point, its been degrading over time...

All 4 O2 Sensors were replaced

Replaced COPs, a couple of them had been arching

Spark Plugs were replaced a year ago

Thought maybe it was bad gas, tried the E85 trick, that cured the preignition pinging, seem to run better in general for a while

Ran a tank and half of E85, backed it out of the garage in the driveway, on restarting it it started the heavy misfire and poor idling and rough running above and undrivable

Sounded like low fuel pressure to us. Hooked up ForScan read the FLP was showing 13 PSI and Desired FLP of 89 PSI. Figured it was a bad pump or Fuel Pump Driver Module.

Troubleshot the FPDM by direct wiring the 12v to the Fuel Pump. Pump ran fine, no change, still didn't run right.

Assumed it was the fuel pump, replaced it, still no change

FLP still showing 13 PSI

Anyone have any ideas, we are stumped.
Are we reading the right parameter in ForScan for Fuel Pressure, believe I have the acronym right from ForScan, don't have it up right now, FLP.... Fuel Line Pressure?

Starts but backfires, misses, runs rough, won't idle

My 2016 F250 with the 6.2 V8 has a whine noise that varies with engine RPM from idle to high rpm. The noise appears to come from the area at the rear of the engine, just forward of the transmission. It seems like you can feel it when touching the bottom of the oil pan. The truck has 172,000 miles. The transmission was fully rebuilt 2000 miles ago along with a new torque converter. The noise was present before the transmission repair and is still present and getting louder. The noise gets louder as you advance the throttle. It's a whine type noise. It does not appear to be coming from the front of the engine, i.e.; alternator, power steering pump, or AC compressor. Thanks for sending me in the right direction.
