I hear ya on that man haha. Mods like exhaust, cold air intakes, new spark plugs and wires can cause your engine to run better and get a HP boost while at it I've spent over $3000 on the old girl within the last year, and spending a whole lot more $$$ doesn't sound that great, good thing I don't have a girlfriend or I'd be double broke lol.

Sounds good. I know the "official ratings" from Ford or any other manufacturer are low, when they actually dyno out higher but i was just curious as to what you had done to get there. I'll have to look at the cold air intake and and other smaller mods as i don't want to get to crazy, mine is used mostly for a daily driver and towing. She's too damn big to be a hot rod. lol

I have not modded it much at all, just replaced the spark plugs with Bosh Platinum ones, added a cold air intake, added a freeflowing duel exhaust, which probably increased the HP by 20-40 total with everything. more to come down the road after I get $$$$. I got the 250HP initial rating from a friend of mine who was a mechanic for Ford awhile back. I estimated with the mods, the HP is likely in the 280-290 range, although they probably aren't 100% accurate. I read somewhere that they were 250HP from the factory as well. 210HP sounds a bit low to me, but I am not a mechanic so I cannot be 100% sure. I know one way to calculate HP is torque X RPM/ 5280. I did estimate@3000RPM and got 287HP approx. As soon as I can get it up on a dyno, I will know for sure.
Thanks for the question,
Charles
