Its good if your towing alot, lets you moniter the trucks systems way more indepth, for me I'm not towing heavy yet, only like 3k so I'm not too worried. So for me at the moment I wouldn't buy one. Having said that, yes it does read and clear codes, I've had two cel so far with my 6.7, so it wouldn't be a bad thing for me to own.

You will have to pardon my ignorance, but you mentioned a Edge CTS, what exactly does it do? I did some research but only really found out that it monitors Temp levels and displays Diagnostic Error codes if something goes wrong. Is this correct? These units are only used for Soot levels and Egt temps? Guess Im asking what is the purpose to having one of these? Are they really worth $650?
