Conversation Between smalltrucker and Taumac

I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner, just saw the PM message. I did answer on the site where you posted the question. I can scan in the info from the Ford manual and the other from the tech info that Ford released but I have no way of posting them in a PM. The number F87A is not really a part number but the prefex. Do a Google on that and see what you come up with. The 3L54 sounds more like the tag number for the gear ratio of the rear end but should read 3L55.

Alittle while ago I posted a topic about leaf springs. Well I just got some but have a question. Mine on the truck are 2/1 with code F87A and the ones I picked where out of a 2003 supercab (unknown engine/drivetrain) 3/1 with code 3L54. You said something about spring codes I know but do you have a link or info on how the read these nums?
