I just looked at the pics of your truck. What an awesome job. The 300 I6 is my favorite of the ford engines. We definately need to get together. I got my chassis stripped and need to find a place to get it blasted. I planned to paint it myself but need to get it cleaned up first.

Another question since I know you live close. Do you know how to remove the chrome trim from these trucks. I have a 78 150 XLT Lariat with the center moulding and the race track chrome. I have a guy that would like to buy it but not sure how to remove it without damaging it. rbrt_wndt@yahoo.com

Do you know if I'll run into any motor mount issues? The highboy had a 360, I will be putting in a 351M/400. If you know other Ford guys looking for parts, I kept a few things off the 360. I already sold the heads and factory 4brl intake, but I have the block, 4 speed bell housing and inspection cover, timing chain cover (and gears and chain) 4x4 oil pan and pick-up tube as well as some other misc. I was planning on scraping the block, but it looks to be in decent shape, if any one is looking for one. I don't think I have enough posts to put an add in the classifieds, so if you have some contacts let them know. My cell is (931)216-7738. The motor is out of the truck and mostly dismanteled, I am putting the truck aside for a while I need to do some work on my Harley before spring and also service my tractor. I would like to get the extra stuff out of the way.

Hey Mitch, been away for awhile but wanted to run a question by you. I rethinking my highboy build. Originally I got a 76 highboy with a trashed body and was going to take my pristine 78 250 custom 4x2 and swap everything over to the highboy chassis. Now I'm thinking about swaping t-case and 150 coil spring 44 into my 4x2 instead. What are your thoughts and can you direct me to any threads on this subject?

I work for the city of Brentwood FD. I see your truck often on my way home. I am just off Hwy 48 almost to cunningham. Always wanted to stop in and see who's truck that was.
