sorry, but is the swap to the 4.30 a safe thing to do aftermarket? Will it perform reliably? I'd hate to do something I'd regret.

Just today, I went to the concrete place and they loaded 3 yards of sand into my dump trailer for me. Those are 1.5 tons per yard so that's 9,000 lbs plus the 3,500 lbs trailer. 12,500 lbs
But you have the 4.30. I can't find one :-(

Thanks. What "shop" does that refer to. Do dealers do that or a speciality shop? Is that for 4x4? I assume both axles have to be done? Is it safe to have done? Thanks for your expertise. THD
