Yes, I just replaced the pedal assembly on my truck with the updated version from Ford and it fixed my problem.

    Hello
I'm researching a problem I have and i think you previous had it as well ... this was your post in a thread...
The symptom on my 01 was engine was idling at a stop light, light turns green, hit the throttle and nothing happened for a few seconds, the engine was still idling. Then after 5 seconds or so it would kick in and the truck would move. It happened to me a few times and I replaced the whole pedal assembly, which is a completely different assy. because it comes with a different mounting bracket to install.

same thing with mine - happens in cold or warm weather - it only seems to happen (so far) when I'm taking off after starting it and not yet simply at a stop light.
I have a 01 f350 7.3 where the idle validation switch is built into the pedal - do you simply replace the pedal assembly with the sensor and the problem was fixed?
    Thanks for your time
