Sounds like it would be the way to go with the fuel system.

Hi Subford new member here. If you could give me a little advise about my 89 Ford F-150 XL 4.9L with 5 Speed manual trans. I have fuel leaks in both tanks and the midship tank pump does not work anymore. Since I have to replace the tanks I was thinking (scary on my part lol) I could just get a new rear tank and new low pressure pump for the rear tank also a SFR , remove midship tank all together. The truck does not get used that much any more because I'm retired and on a fixed income, and it lives in IL which is near the snow belt which uses a lot of salt on roads during winter. I just dont need both tanks anymore. Do you think that is the best route to take on this project???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. and thank you for your time... Cajun One
