auto trans is going to need rebuilding sooner or later if it is original. same with the front axle. the idi is a good thing, much easier to work on than the powerstroke, and costs less for parts.
the cold start could be a bad glow plug, that is not a big deal. easy to change.
i have pretty much the same truck at the shop rite now that needs a trans, that is going to cost $1,600 my price from a local rebuilder with core return.
with glow plugs, ball joints, front universals, and trans, customer is looking at $4 grand over the $2500 he paid for the truck.

It is the not the turbo or the power stroke but the Turbo IDI engine. It is a automatic front axle was not rebuilt It starts cold but is better of being plugged in.

tough question without actually seeing or driving the truck. powerstroke engine, or turbo IDI engine?
automatic, or 5 speed trans?
was the front axle rebuilt?
if manual, was the clutch replaced?
how does it cold start?
these are all things that have to be looked at.
if it is in overall good condition and does not need major repairs, the price is fair.

Hello there I currently drive a 1996 Ford F250 7.5 , and I am looking at this 1994 Ford F250 flatbed 7.3 Turbo. The gentleman has it priced at 4,250$ currently, the truck is fairly clean with not much rust and has currently 265,000 miles on it. Is 4,250 a good price for this truck because I am interested in buying it? Thanks
