So while I have the intake off my 89 F150, I decided to remove and clean the fuel injectors. First, I sprayed them down with gum cutter and now I'm soaking them in denatured alcohol. Here is a pic of four of them:

It appears that a piece is missing off of one of them (3rd one over). I was wondering where this piece can be found (do they sell injector rebuild kits which include it? Or will I have to buy one injector from a junkyard to replace the piece?) I just really hope someone else lost the piece when they had it out and it didn't fall into my intake. Also is there any way I can separate the plastic part of the injector from the metal body to further clean them? I would imagine that most of the crud is in there, it really didn't seem like there was much to clean off by just spraying them down. Should I spray gum cutter in my fuel rail and down the injector holes in the intake as well? Should I send these out to be rebuilt (I was reading witchhunter is the way to go on other threads in the forum)? Or should I take a crack at it myself?
