Anyone have any experiance with the dynomax VT on this vintage of truck?

I have to get rid of my dronemaster 40 deltaflow before i kill myself. The 25 minute drive to work drives me nuts. WHen i orginally put this thing on i only drove 10 minutes mostly thru town now i run the highway everyday. Anyways tHese New dynomax VTs have a interesting design, but i really havent found any real world experiance of people using these mufflers on this vintage of truck. it seems to be a drop in fit with the current exhaust system i have, but i really dont want to drop another hundred bucks to find out its just as bad as the last. just wondering if anyone had taken the plunge before me?? and would they do it again??

That looks like a product that also doubles as a wallet biopsy. A mechanical flapper valve? are they serious? I would not waste my money on a gizmo like that. Magnaflow has proven muffler designs that do not drone without resorting to fancy engineering that will be prone to failure over time.

I cannot give you an answer to your questions, but my advice is free.

I haven't looked to see what this product is, but if it's a chambered design it won't be any better, to get quiet you have to get away from these and go to a straight through design with some damping material inside.

Just buy a Magnaflow and be done with it.

That dynomax vt looks like it would break in about a week.

From a quick search they rattle alot.

I agree about going with Magnaflow. I have it on my truck and think it sounds great. Nice mellow sound.

I have Dynomax Ultraflow on my Mustang and they sound perfect on it. Its definitely milder than the dronemaster. It still gets a little loud though and is definitly audible outside.

I don't know about that VT series. You could also go with Dynomax Super Turbo.

If you have both the cats get a glasspack.

Alot of the newer cars come factory with mufflers similar to this. Our 2003 Maxima has one. I think that the new Challenger has it and maybe the new Mustang and Camero too.
