Need a lower section or complete air box for an '02 F350 7.3
I'm about 300 miles east of you. You're over by Lake Charles right? I live just north of a small town in St. Tammany Parish called Pearl River, real close to the MS state line.
What would you take for it?
Is this a new truck to you? Tell us about your truck. If you want, you can come on over here and we can go over it and hook the AE on it and check things out.

Yeah, its a new truck for me. I bought it last month.
This has been a roller coaster ride. You can see another thread I started here about where the truck came from, what I've done to it, and the trouble I've had with it since I got it. I do believe the maintenance on this truck was pretty neglected, but it runs really good when it gets warm. Doesn't miss at all. I just hope it hasn't eaten enough dust to damage the cylinders. I would be surprised if it had, since the mileage is really low and its pretty much a highway truck only. If you want to see some pictures of it, you can look here at the ebay auction page.
It would cost me a good bit in fuel but your offer is very gracious and I'm very tempted considering the spirit in which you made it. Also, it would give me a chance to do the buzz test on the injectors that F350-6 suggested. I still haven't done the o-ring kits. It will take me all day to do that, if I have to.

Here is the intake I am talking about. You can see it with the filter cover on it I got from Pete.

What should I use to flush the oiling system? You should have seen the oil this thing had in it when I got it. It was like staring into the event horizon of a black hole. God only knows when they had changed the oil last. I don't know... I don't want to rip on them too much because it may be that they were just ignorant like me.
I have a lot of experience as a mechanic, but I will be the first to admit that I had and still have gaps in my knowledge base when it comes to electronic diesels, particularly theHEUI design, and I know it takes a good scanner to really be able to diagnose and repair them efficiently and without throwing parts at problems. I'm learning, but its a process. I had an ASE master tech for 12 years before I let it lapse. Never failed a test or a renewal. I just got tired of it, and as a freelancer it wasn't something I needed to drum up business. Now I'm a subcontracting fleet mechanic for a state contractor, and thats why I needed this long chassis truck with the 11' service body. I still think I got a really good deal on it, all things considered, but it sure would be nice to clean/tune it out, and set things back the way they need to be to get the best life expectancy out of this rig. I need it to last me a few years. Considering the condition of the service body, I believe that it could last me a long time.

The offer is here if you want to take advantage of it. I have 4 6637 filters on my shelf. Plenty of simple green and water. lol That truck should give you many years of service with the right maintenance. After you get the engine right, we can start on the PMS you will get once you read more on here.
Well ok, this sounds good to me. How much typically for the whole setup with the 6637? I did some reading and it looks like a pretty simple mod.
I have a tranny issue I need to try to stamp out on this thing before I take it on another long road trip. There's a problem with the TCC. The PCM keeps setting P0743 and P1744 codes. And you can see it reflected in the tach when you try to cruise. The needle sweeps a little as the TCC tries to engage.
In this case I have a friend who is a wizzard on automatics. He has built a couple 4R100s for me before. I'm gonna see what he thinks and go from there.
When I get that stamped out I'll probably take you up on the offer. If I can make this thing get another mile or two to the gallon by fixing the TCC problem, it won't cost me as much to come see you.
Some trucks may exhibit a flashing OD light and possibly harsh shifting, with any or all of the following trouble codes: P0740, P0741, P0743, P1744.
This may be due to high resistance in the torque converter clutch solenoid, which results in lower torque converter lock pressures. The transmission solenoid body should be replace with P/N F81Z-7G391-CB to correct. Broadcast Message 3559
