My outside air temp sensor went bad a few months ago. It was showing 140F all the time. Finally got around to changing it out yesterday and it is now showing about 102 degrees. That would be fine but it is about 55 degrees here. Is there a way to calibrate this thing or is it another bad sensor?
Mine's reading 35F... It's been in the 90's until this weekend, and now it's in the 70's. I checked Autozone and they don't have the temp sensor. Where'd you get one?
I ordered mine from O'Reilly Auto Parts. Came pretty quick too. It was about $30 including tax and shipping. Now if I could only get it to read the right temp... Anyone out there have any ideas?
Torkum, thanks for the help. Unfortunately I have a 2000 F150 and all my HVAC controls are manual and not electronic. The ground fault idea is a good one though and I will look into that.
I also replaced my sensor but it made no difference. It still reads way low. Today it was reading 30deg. when it was close to 80. Any other problems this could be?
BTW, Mine was $47.50 from O'Reilly...
