manual short shifter fit?
I was looking through a sumitt catalog and came across a (I believe B&m) short throw shifter for a 5.0 truck. I gave them a call and asked if it would fit my 95 4.9 300 5-speed 2wd half ton truck. They replied they didn't know but it would if the trannies where the same (big help I figured that much out). So my question for all you fellows would be, is the transmission the same for the 4.9 as well as the 5.0 in light duty trucks? My guess would be that it is, but I would like to leave this answer to you the readers of my question. And if someone could give me some info on determining what kinda transmission I have it would be greatly appreciated. All comments and info appreciated thank you for your time.
