1986 F-150 4x2 / 5.0Ltr 302 3 Speed Auto-- O/D?
Does anyone know the possibility of replacing the standard 3Speed Auto with one that has Overdrive? This thing is geared so low that at highway speeds it's really screaming. I just want to get better gas mileage and less RPM's at highway speeds.

Wouldn't it be easier and less expensive to replace the ring and pinion in the differential to raise the gear ratio?
