My new toy

85 Yamaha Virago XV750
paid 500 bucks for it. this is my first bike so im pretty excited. i have a little work to do to get it running, i suspect its just an electrical issue and i have to fox the horn as well. it needs a new safety but the previous owner had it safetied then only put 200km on it.

Nice bikes everyone! I have a 1982 honda nighthawk 650 with low kms on it. Thinking its says around 6500 kms. Don't drive it very much, just sits in the garage. Have to take a pic of it for everyone sometime.

Yes thats right, but seems with working and other things dont get much of a chance to jump on and go. Its nice to go with others as well, but around here it seems like if you dont have a Harley then you dont get invited.

I say to hell with the harley attitude! Yes they are sweet bikes, but at the end of the day, any bike is better then no bike!

Start with a local shop and then check places out on the web. With the dollar the way it is now you are propably better off staying local but you won't know till you do some shopping. I know I got some stuff for my bike this spring and the dealer was way cheaper than I could get it on the web.

dealers dont stock carb rebuild kits. have to get everything individually. i try and stay away from ebay due to the fact that my payments take forever to go through and i hate waiting forever for shipping.

dealer wants 100 bucks for the starter relay :s

We`re lucky here in Saskatoon, there is a place called Recreation Supply, 1-306-664-3560 that stocks some parts. I got parts for my old 1979 Yamaha that the dealer no longer stocked.
