Dash Pad and Speaker Question

Well it finally happened, my dash pad cracked. Which I know was a problem in the 67-72 pickups (heck any ford for that matter). But I got 15 years out of the old dash pad so I'd say I got my use out of her.

Now my question is where do I get the best dash pad I can? And since I'm in there, where can I get the best replacement speaker I can (that will bolt right in)? I have an older pioneer tape deck with an equalizer pushing about 100 watts, so that will have to figure into what speaker I get.

Any in put would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well there are plenty of dash pad covers for around $150(i think) that just go over yours(not the carpet but abs plastic). I think you will end up spending $800+ for a replacement dash pad.

I just installed a set of dual dash speakers the other day. The only way to replace them is from under the dash so the pad doesnt have to come out. I put mine in through the radio hole. There is a little metal piece that hooks in towards the windshield and bolts in towards the radio area. This is all that holds the speaker up. Speaker was $45 from one of our non sponsors, im sure the sponsor sites have them as well. It came with nice terminals already soldered on that would have plugged into the orig stereo.
