On my 2000 Navi, I have a humming noise after coming to a stop (stop sign or light) and the engine is idling. I can hold the brake and press the gas a little and the humming goes away. Does that have anything to do with the idling sensor? Thanks in advance for your help.
Be happy, most people have to pay $40K to drive a hummer.
4.6 or 5.4 engine? 4WD or 2WD?
1. Is it just a humming noise or can you feel a vibration too?
2. Is there even the slightest lurching when you sit there in drive with your foot off the brake?
3. Does it do it when cold, hot, both?
It doesn't vibrate or anything of that nature. It's a 5.4L 2WD and it only does it when it's hot. It just hum until you press on the gas a little and it goes away. I will replace the PCV and see what it will do. Thanks for the info.
