I need to replace the front door interior panels on a 2002 Expedition. The 2003 models are obviously different. Can anyone tell me how far back Ford used the same interiors? And/or what other models used the same door panel?
As for door panels, I think that 2000 & 2001 should be exact plug and play. 1997-99 should also work but there might be some color variations. I also seem to remember that there were very slight differences on the F-150 panels but they might work as well. eBay is a good source but they are not posted as frequently as they once were (I have purchased several over the years).
Bought an '01 expedition last night after several weeks of looking for an SUV. It's an XLT and one of the things that I was thinking about doing, if possible, was replacing the front seats. My wife has had multiple back surgeries and having electic seats with heat in both front positions would be very good. So I would like to tag along on this thread and ask if the same model years as the door panels would work for the seats too? What about other models for the seats like Explorer, Navigator, or Mounanier? Thanks for any help and I look forward to a long time of participation on this board.
