any old truck drivers?

any old truck drivers?

K obviously I know what these are but does anyone know how to set them, or whats up with these brakes from my dad's 78 White Western Star.

Those look like the same brake pots that are on our buggy's and there is no adjustment, they either work or they don't. The ones on our buggy's are twice the size but they aren't any costlier to replace than the pots on the trucks.

Well at least the DOT inspectors can't give you a ticket for not setting your brakes correctly.

Well thankya. I'm guessing it was the whole setting them and burning out pads sent them the way of the Dodo or the flathead.

Ok I cant get Warrens link to open up, my net is a little slow tonight due to the weather, but how do you, or can you, set those wedge brakes?

I will ask my Dad about those - he trucked since they started making trucks. He gave up his 1A license last year because they were making him take an annual medical so he said f - it!

He still drives the odd time just shuttling stuff between fields but he doesnt want to do that much any more. He just put in two days moving bales with one of those Morris hay hikers so he should be laid back (or maybe more hyper who knows) for the rest of the week!

Man he does do pretty good for over 80. Kinda sounds like my grandpa, hes 85ish and he still drives the swather around if we let him!
