HI all,
I removed the body off my f250, but my chassis/frame mounts (ie the bracket that mounts to the frame) are quite rusted through. The new bushings would go right through the big rust hole. Plus my rear shock mount that mounts to the frame is rusted through...now two pieces. Anyone know a good place to buy these pieces from or do they need to be fabricated?
Thanks in advance!
try mikes truck salvage, he's a sponcer on the site, i baught both rear shock mounts, both front frame perches as well as the rear crossmembe ( where the cab sits ) from him a few years back. great guy to do business with. parts are rust free from the south. i have pics in my gallery.
I made a super heavy duty pair in a couple hours, I can get pics tomorrow if you would like. or if fabricating isn't your thing bronco graveyard has new ones, spendy though.

cszeman if you still need rear shock mounts i have a set of stock ones or you can get a set from a 80-96 f150 the bolt pattern is the same just uses a through bolt just like the bottom.
I changed my upper shock mounts on my F250 with some old F150 mounts-identical. I forget what size of bolts I used, seems to me I drilled the holes a size up because the rivet hole was oddball size.
You can buzz the rivet head off with a grinder, but still may need to center drill it to relieve the stress. I found it easiest just to drill up to 3/8" I think, then nail it with a hammer and punch and they usually fly right out.

Hello, I have some frames sitting open (i.e. no body on them) if you need some main crossmembers or frame to body or spring hangers and shock mounts. Happy to help out if I can, Mike.
