different ratios in front and rear housings

different ratios in front and rear housings

what kind of trouble will i get into running 4.10 in the rear and 3.55 in the front. the truck is for mostly off road and mud

100% mud, you might be okay. Some even consider running the front end faster than the rear a plus. BUT, on dry ground with front-end locked in, get ready for some major repairs, it won't work!!!

change the gears or break stuff big time or put little tiny tires up front

Mud or sand will probably work, but the slightest amount of solid ground will lock up your driveline in 4WD.

Let abunch of air out your tires or stay in the slick stuff when in 4x4. The stock
gearing on a lot of trucks with the ttb was 3.55 and 3.50:1 it is only when you get
to a certain number where it starts stressing xcase components and you are there!!
