I don`t really care for any of these, Bell is what we have except for farmer vision.
Bell has some good shows on the Discovery channel, also Trucks, Over Haulin ect.
The odd time there is a good Western movie and some sports.
I have been living without cable TV for over a year now...actually you get used to it fairly quick we still get 3 channels and they show simpsons, king of the hill, survivor, deal or no deal, 1 against 100, king of queens, my name is earl...we just know when whatever show we like is on and then spend 30 mins to an hour watching it... other than that, the library has hundreds of kids shows to borrow on dvd and vhs
Rouleau has its own cable company and it is very good. It has the speed channel, 4 movie channels, Discovery, TLC and all that, and a few super stations plus regular channels all for the low price of $33.00/month
We have sasktel max. We have had it for awhile now and it's been very good, until we got the max HD in November. They have been having troubles since day one with it. I hope they get things sorted out soon, it's very annoying having to reset the receiver every night. The nice thing about max is that you get one bill for your phone, Internet and t.v. !!
cable, dont get speed, i would gladly trade a good half of our channels just to have speed, then i would have pretty much all of the good stuff. for 300 i could get pirated satellite, all the american and Canadian channels, pay per view and all, and then you can edit out all the channels you dont want. i already watch too much TV though......
Colin, it sounds better than what we get on Bell and for less money. How did Rouleau get its own cable company? Is it a private group or company operated?
I now have intenet and tv by Yourlink.ca Costs about $80.00 a month and fast intenet now. Will be cancelling Sasktel internet. It way too slow with dial up and no hi speed here.
Oh that 80 includes all the tv channels too.
Hey Skidooman, I get one bill as well for TV, internet and phone, but it's from shaw cable and beats the hell out of SaskTel for pricing!!
I totally agree with you there man (no offense to any1) but we sure like shaw digital cable i have normal cable but good enough for me we also have shaw internet and now shaw telephone they are on of the best IMO they are cheaper than sasktel and they have many bonus features that are cool and unlimited long distance calling dont cost you a dime to call anywhere in the states europe or here in canada i think shaw is giving sasktel a run for there money they saw pretty soon it will all just be shaw hmmm who knows??....
I have about 4 recievers fromm bell with the maximum channel package. Costs me about 100/mth. But!! Each of my 2 daughters have a reciever and a brother inlaw and myself so it actually costs us 25.00 /mth. i used to have a card where i could get all the movie channels for free but they changed something and now i cant get them lol.
I don't think Shaw will out do Saskel. Cable internet is slower than highspeed and with the Shaw telephone, no power or internet down = no phone. Also calling 911 is just like using a cell phone they don't know your location.
I have to disagree with you deuller. I've had SaskTel high speed and Shaw. Shaw has outperformed SaskTel in every way. SaskTel has consistent speed, Shaw's does fluctuate a little, but the highs are waaay higher and the lows are comparable to SaskTels normal rate. The Shaw phone comes with a digital modem that connects to your cable and then hooks into your phone lines within your house, that cable modem has an 8 hour battery backup. If I'm without power for more than 8 hours, I'm starting to worry about more than a phone. As for problems with Shaw's reliability, I've had 2 problems I can think of in about 10 years of service, I can deal with that for the money I'm saving. As for the 911 thing, sorry but you're wrong, check their FAQ page.
In the city I would HIGHLY recommend Shaw for the 3 bundled services, saves me about $50 a month. I have full Digital Cable, High Speed Internet and Phone with all the features (call waiting, call display, voicemail etc...), after taxes my bill is $126.43 a month.
