Release Bearing Removal/Installation

Im having trouble removing the release bearing on my 89 for ranger 4x2. someone told me theres a special tool. Does anyone know what kind of tool this is?

Do you mean release bearing or pilot bearing? The release bearing just rides on the input shaft of the transmission. The pilot bearing is in the end of the crank on the engine. You can borrow a puller from auto zone to get it out, or you can pack the hole with grease and tap a dowel in there to make the grease force the bearing out (dowel must be the same diameter as the inner diameter of the bearing for this to work properly).
