Going to service Front and rear diffs, also transfer case what fluid to use

Just wanting a little help on what you guys recomend... I will be doing the service on the front and rear diffs also the transfer case this weekend. what does everyone recomend for fluid for all these componets. Any help would be appriceated.

I'd use what Ford recommends.

Do you know what ford recomends??? I dont have service manual. I was wondering if it was synthetic in the front and rear diffs, and what they use in the transfer case. just atf, or what. Thanks

For 03+ it comes with sythetic in the rear end diff and is considered "lubed for life" unless you submerse it water. I still plan on chaning mine out probably at 100k.

Lubed for life cynically means lubed for life of the warranty

My 98 4.6L specifies:

Front diff: SAE 75W90 axle lubricant, 3.5 - 3.7 pints

Rear diff: SAE 75W140 synthetic rear axle lubricant, 5.5 - 5.8 pints, plus 4 oz of friction modifier C8AZ-19B546-A, Ford spec EST-M2C118-A

X-fer case: MERCON ATF, 2.0 quarts
