Good morning, I am wanting to add a third (middle) seat beat to my 65 F-250. Is there a way to do this, having trouble adding original belt to existing mounting holes with stock belts. Is there a bracket, plate or something to accomplish this? Thank you
I added the third belt. It came with some very stout , oversized washers to (hopefully) strengthen the thinnish sheet metal of the cab’s floor, theoretically making the middle passenger safer, not ripping the belt loose from the floor during an accident.
Some, not trusting even that, beef-up the sheetmetal by welding in extra metal, or even a threaded boss for the bolt.

I pulled the seatbelts out of a 73 F100, added the middle seatbelt to my 66 F100 just by unbolting, adding new belt and tightening down on each inner belt bolt.... if that makes sense?!

Yes. I added one to mine as well. The 3rd belt uses the same bolts as the drvr/psgr inside belts. Should be a bolt in deal.
All great ideas, I am really trying not to make more holes in the cab. I really thought I could use the stock belt I picked up and stack them on top of the other belts and use the longer belt bolts to hold them all down. But, as you can see from the photo stacking them on top of each other will not work. Am I missing something here? Thank you for getting back to me.
Prior to 1966 seat belts were optional in the truck lineup. If you didn't order them then they could be dealer installed. If you rolled into the dealership and wanted seat belts in your 1961 or newer truck that was not equipped with them or if you wanted a 3rd seat belt in the middle or rear belts in your Crew Cab what they would use is these plates underneath and would pass a bolt through and use the provided nut from the bottom.
These are Rotunda (Ford Accessories) kits but there were Ford branded kits with similar part numbers, too.
C3RZ-6261156-A - KIT – ADAPTER – REAR SEAT BELT MOUNTING (Superseded by C5AZ-6261156-A and C6AZ-6261156-A)
These were used on early Mustangs, Falcon/Comet, Full-sized Ford sedans, Econolines, etc. and...
...for those that have had the chance to look under a Ranger cab you might recognize these were what they used underneath on the inboard seat track support brackets. If you look closely, it might be possible to see that the two bolts sticking through on the second bracket from front are not hex head bolts. They are flat rounds so no way to get a wrench on them at all. They are pressed in and designed not to come out.
A close up of one prior to getting the brackets powder coated. They drilled holes for that bracket in the floor and then used the plate and a nut with externally toothed washer from below.
Thank you TA455HO, great information. I did find a seat belt bracket that should work in conjunction with the stock belt bracket. Really trying not to drill more holes or at least a last resort.
