2021 E450 Sunseeker column shifter stuck. Won’t go into gear. Brake lights aren’t working either. The engine starts and everything else seems to work, but it just won’t go into gear. The slide ins are in all the way. The leveling jacks are up all the way. My foot is on the break. No codes or issues on the dash. I removed the brake switch and unplugged it still no effect any suggestions question
Sounds like the brake shift interlock (BSI) is not releasing. It is triggered by part of the brake pedal position (BPP) switch. Since you said you have no brake lights either, that's an extremely strong indication that the malfunction is related to either the mechanical actuation of the BPP or to its circuitry (wiring, fuses, electronics, etc).
Unfortunately, my newest E-series manual is for a 2019. I do not know if it is applicable to either a 2020 or 2021 E450 chassis so I'm hesitant to just throw diagrams out there.
Does the instrument cluster properly indicate that the shift lever is in PARK now? That part of the circuit in the BSI module is what is used to release the key removal inhibit feature. If not, put the old BSI back in, it wasn't the problem anyway and you've introduced a new problem.
