Chop another month off the calendar already as we move on into May. Time flies when you're having fun, or when you're extremely busy. Starting early so I remember to post this up.
Welcome to May, Gang! Took all of the freezer contents to my mother's after work yesterday and slept at my sister's. Got up early and showered at the gym. I heard that power company trucks finally showed up at our problem spot about an hour ago. Hopefully, we get restored today.

Took the day off to get some conduit run for our kitchen remodel. Need a 30A service for the built in oven/ microwave. The cook surface will retain the existing 50A circuit. Needed to run conduit through the garage into the utility and crawl space. Wish me luck, I’ve never pulled 10/3 romex through conduit before. It’s not going to be fun.
It was also me and the wife’s 27th, so a nice dinner was on the agenda.
NOT FUN, did that a few times myself,
heat gang found a abandoned 1 inch flex in the dropped ceiling, pulled it out. turned out it was a old generator feed, 4 -2 gauge strands and 4- 14 gauge signal wires, each 50 feet long, didn't let them add that to thier scrap metal pile, along with about 30 feet of 5/16x 3/8 copper tubing that ran from the old oil tank to the old heater, perfect size to plumb the gas line into that 32 ford tudor sedan when the time comes,
good morning people, where's the rain? i heard the thunder but zero on the ground
I don't envy you on pulling heavy Romex, Chuck. Been there and done it - it's not easy. We're looking at a ventless range hood here, probably going to have someone come and do that, plus add a ceiling fan to the living room. Pulling new wire in this house, just a little beyond my comfort level - so, better to get a professional involved. A little more than just me at stake here these days.
We've been getting all the rain and another round is slated for today. Gonna go lay garden block while I can to get some more raised bed in out in front of the house before we get soggy again. Who knows, maybe if it doesn't thunder and lightning I might just keep going. Unfinished projects drive me nuts hahaha.
