Mods for 2004 Aviator
Hello everyone. About to pick one of these up. Was thinking of doing a few mods to get some extra power. Anyone know of a good site to get some parts? Was wanting get it cammed, headers, intake, and already have someone that can do the exhaust work. Probably going to get the transmission built and a tune at some point too. But for now, just need to find the parts listed above. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

You might have things a bit out of order, such as getting the transmission built before adding power, and maybe consider upgrading the brakes before adding power too. The Aviator has the DOHC 4.6L from the Mustang Cobra rather than the "normal" 4.6L in Explorers and Mountaineers. So you may want to search for Cobra engine mods. But I'd say the weakest point on the Aviator is the transmission, so make sure that's healthy before adding power.
