While fixing (sort of) my gearshift bushing I broke a connector on the back of my ignition switch. The wire is black/pink stripping. The odd looking connector slides in behind the ignition switch.
I was able to hold it in place with electrical tape. I would like to fix the connector but I have no idea what it is.

That's most likely either for the PATS / Securilock antenna or for the "key in ignition" warning that sounds your chime if you remove your key without turning off you headlights, open the door with the key still in the ignition, etc.
Was it plugged into a ring that goes around the entire key cylinder switch or was it a single wire that plugs into a single point on the housing?
I believe that it was plugged into a ring around the ignition switch. It is a odd looking connection with a single brass finger. Possible slip ring I have it taped back and really want to leave it until I can get a new connector. Thanks for the reply. 👍
The other connector may be to the clockspring, but the key cylinder switch is on the body side of the steering wheel and clock spring assembly. The ring around the key cylinder switch (which operates the ignition switch) would be the antenna for the transponder key, part of the passive anti-theft system (PATS), which might be called Securilock in 2002.
