What about the recall to raise the oil pressure? Also, he never mentioned you could install the SEMIC kit to raise the idle. I have seen his videos before and he seems competent, but being a Ford Tech you think he would have known about the idle oil pressure recall.
This video is laughable. He says it is happening to tons and tons of 7.3s. He claims the idle oil pressure is 8psi. Where did he get this information? Must have been from people on the internet because he says 8psi is probably why this is happening then says bumping it up to maybe 10psi or 15 or 20 will probably help. What kind of mechanic is he? 10psi will probably fix it but 8psi is too low? We haven't seen A SINGLE gauge read the actual oil pressure that the variable pump makes and the TSB just says it could cause catastrophic engine damage it doesn't say what specifically that damage is.
More people trying to get views off of an over inflated issue. I will believe single digit oil pressure at idle when a REAL mechanic plugs a gauge into the sender port and shows that it is 8psi. I think he took the number that causes the gauge to read and thinks that is the actual pressure.

It appears there's dealers that don't know anything about that recall. Makes you wonder.

I wouldn't shoot the messenger. Most mechanics don't get feedback from Ford on failures that occur in the field and will speculate like we do here on the root cause. Look how long the cam phaser problem existed in the EB engines and the techs were told to install the same junk cam phasers for the repair knowing they will fail again, but never really knew the root cause.

I already did this with Forscan. My 2023 sits at 20psi at hot idle and goes up to 65ish depending on throttle and load.
