The PA Chapter's September 2024 Chat and B/S Thread
Kicking off a little earlier than usual this month since I'm probably going to bed soon. It's been a day. Let's just say that I'm most likely not going to be spending any money with Lowe's anytime in the future after the debacle of bringing our new appliances. Just was not happy with the way things got done at all - and not to mention the "installers" (who didn't install anything as I had to hook everything up myself or with the help of one of the plumbers from my work in the case of the gas stove) gave us several incorrect install parts and also wanted to give us a second set of install parts so we could "return them and get our money back." Very odd, and ended up making the day far more stressful than needed.
But hey, the new stove has a wi-fi feature and a pizza button?
On the truck front - the focus should, at some point soon, return to the 98 with the goal of having it back for the 2025 show year. Got some loose ends to work through there but I've been kinda busy lately. Which leads me to....
You've seen a lot of 'we", "our" and "us" out of me lately - which is different from the norm. This is because there's now not just me in the house. Over the past 3-4 weeks, the moving that I was doing was bringing Arlene to PA, and specifically my house, and on August 22, we got engaged. We've had a long, 15 year history that started here on FTE (of all things) and are continuing that story now and into the future.
So, with that little bombshell, you know what to do so do it.
I picked on there being someone special in your life for a while now, Bill. I figured you would share if and when you were ready! Picked up on the breakfast comment this morning!

I don’t know about Kona coffee, but the Kona brewery is freaking awesome. We went to Green World Coffee Farm while we were at the north shore and it was fabulous. Brought back a little with us, but we’re out now. Hope you enjoyed.
Good morning, Peeps! Orange Sickle coffee from Bones this morning, although I'm loving Charlie's KONA option, too. It's been years since I had true KONA.
It has been a crazy several weeks getting me out here and settled in, that's for sure. Thank you for the patience as we've worked to make me an OFFICIAL PA Chapter member and not just a visitor from Delaware.

kona's very pricy arlene got it though amazon $50.00 for a 1 pound bag
$50/pound?!?!?!?! I though I was crazy for spending $15-16/pound for the Bolivian & Peruvian blends that I get at a local shop compared to my daily go-to of Timmy Ho's at $9-10/pound. I'd say that I'll take your word at it for being good, but now I want to try it for myself!
