Defrost Ducts aftermarket anomaly

So, I had to buy some new defrost ducks for the old tart and ordered a set through a mob in town (Autoware- great people to deal with) . They sent me what appears to be two of the same duct. That is, the hose end faces the same way. Now, a quick look on ol' google tells me the aftermarket only has one size for the 56. Yet if you look at NPD shop for instance, they sell a 57-60 set of ducts that are left and right.
Flipping a duct over seems the only way, and I haven't tested that yet. Otherwise I'm gonna have a great big rubber hose thing dangling under the dash just to curve back to the A/C.
Doesn't make sense/
Anyone else discovered this?

What is pictured is correct so the windshield defrosts in the centre. I had modified one as you were thinking ( great minds think alike...lol ) I had to change it out as pictured..

Early on 53/55 uses a pair of part numbers/designs for Right and Left: FAC-18490-A & FAA-18491-A

Later 56 used a single part number/design for Right and Left: B6C-18490-A

Ford literature appears to show the B6C-18490-A can be used in place of the FAC-18490-A & FAA-18491-A in early models.

Here are these pesky ducts straight outta the bag. Both facing same direction and not centred. Weird that that's all you can buy now... definitely both have a left bias,

I know it looks wrong but that's just how a 56 is

Oh, gotcha. Didn't know that was how they originally were. Good to know.
