All my books this far show a single ring gear for all applications though... I'll have to look harder. Of course, your picture with the part number stamped is hard to argue with.

I just decided to pull another ring gear off another flywheel. I was trying to use a specific flywheel (drilled for 10" clutch) but it had bad ring gear so I'll just pull a ring gear off a 11" clutch flywheel and install.
Kevin, the old timers around here who were too frugal to buy a new ring gear would remove the ring, rotate it about 30 degrees and put it back on. The engine would always stop in one of three locations on the flywheel, so the starter would wear out and chew up those sections. By rotating it, the starter would engage in a nice fresh area of the ring and whiz right past the boogered up areas.
I'm mentioning this in case anyone here can't find or afford a new ring gear.
I use the freezer/oven method of fitting the ring back on the flywheel. Once I brought home some dry ice from work and it worked great.
