New to me 2005 F550 CHMSL

Just got a 2005 f550 super crew that had a camper top on the bed. I needed a 5th wheel so that came off but there is a blocking plate over the 3rd brake light hole. I ordered a led style light but it dosent fit all. Is there some special chmsl that possibly came with a cab and chassis?

The F-550 cab is identical to the F-250 / F-350 / F-450 / F-650 / F-750 cab for model year 2005.

You said you ordered an "led style light."

Since Ford did not produce an LED style light for 2005, then by definition, the LED style light you ordered must be an afternarket light. Could that be the reason why it doesn't fit?

I would try fitting a genuine Ford OEM third brake light assembly. Even if used.
