2009 Escape SRS airbag light - understanding FORScan codes
My son's 2009 Escape has the SRS airbag light on. I went under the front seats and disconnected the plugs and cleaned them. The light would go off 1 time then back on. I got Forscan going and thought I would see 1 code but here is what I saw.
Codes:
B1212 - Driver seatbelt pretensioner - circuit open
B0020 - left side airbag control - circuit open
B0050 - Driver seatbelt sensor - circuit open
B00B5- driver seat track position restraints sensor - circuit open
B00A0 - Occupant classification sys - event info
B2909- Belt tension sensor fault - previously set DTC
B1205 - Electronic instrument cluster switch - switch bank 1 circuit failure
This is as much as I could tell from Forscan. Can someone please help me figure out what part needed replaced / fixed?
Thanks
I’m not familiar with forscan, but does it specify if the codes are history or current? Any history codes can be ignored - it’s the current (or active) codes you want to pay attention to. If you’re not sure whether they’re history or current (some can also be pending), erase them and only pursue the codes that return after that.
