PCM help new member
Hey guys,
My 2003 F-150 Lightning's PCM died and 2 places have told me they cant repair it =\
I tried to buy another one from car computer exchange for 1400 bucks and they have been giving me the run around for a month now saying the one they had in stock tested bad and another one they found also tested bad.
Anyone have a Lightning or Harley Davidson PCM 2000-2004 around i could buy?
I've been truck less for too long =\

Lighting ECU advice
Hello, I have a 2004 Lightning, and I had the same issue. I was very fortunate they were able to fix it. Here is what I did:
1. Call Cardone, www.cardone.com they REUBUILD ECM units back to factor spec. However, take it to a NAPA Store (or similar) that deals directly with Cardone.
2. If you have a tech that is getting errors on the ECU, make sure they note all this, what's happening, etc. Because it allows them to focus on whats wrong.
3. What you are looking for is for is CARDONE Repair & Return Service, here is what they say about it.
"Can't find the replacement part you need? Restoring a classic vehicle and need your original part fixed? Looking for a replacement part that you can't find anywhere? CARDONE's R&R Service is a great option for you! If you are interested in this service, please work with a participating auto parts supplier to complete our R&R Form and send in your worn unit. CARDONE will rebuild it, then the repaired unit is shipped back to you."
It take about 1 week.
Good Luck to everyone with a PCM, ECU that doesn't read or isn't working. Unfortunately, this truck and parts are hard to come by
I had to replace some interior items and headlights, I had good luck with CarParts.com for things for the lightning. www.carparts.com
