That seems to hold true for many regions, including where I live. Here at least most mercury inboards are actually rebadged chevies. My jet boat was made about a 6 hour drive away, I picked it up at the factory. Super charged chevy engine, powering a Hamilton 212 pump. Around here at least, 98% of jet boats are running a Chevy V8, the big choice is natural aspirated, or a blower on it.
