Hi guys, were all the 56 F100s the same color inside as out? I'm talking about the dash, inside of top, door panels, kick panel steel, around windshield, behind seat etc. I assume they were. I got my 56 as a basket case with very little paint left. The dash is black but most the rest of it is (was) Meadow Green. I plan to paint the truck Meadow Green along with the interior. Is that how they came new? Thanks for your help, Greg.
I don't think there were any exceptions but I'm sure someone will be along to confirm. I do know that although they were broadly all the same colour it was not exactly the same paint used internal/external so there would be some small difference in colour.
I don't know about the Paint being different for interior and exterior, but I really doubt it. They painted the whole cab inside and outside the same time, I would think.
53-56 interiors were body color. Now , of course , steering column, pedals, gear shifter were black. Trim was argent. I'll post a pic of a dealer brochure when I get to my laptop.

Excellent choice in paint color!!
Here are the pics of interiors from the Ford dealer color brochures i have. 54 Deluxe cab
These are from my 55 F350. It is untouched, except I painted the brake and clutch pedals, painted the original firewall and heater and put in a reproduction floor mat.
I got the seat vinyl fixed and painted the seat floor supports and the seat runners and seat arm.
Thanks Abe, that is just what I was looking for on the net but couldn't find, factory brochures. I agree with you, Ford probably painted the whole cab at once- in and out. That's what I will do only not all at once. I'll start adding to my basket case build when I start. I put it in the barn just in time, we got snow last night!
