08 F350 Cruise Control
Hey guys. I just got this truck. Cruise control doesnt work. It flashes on then off rapidly at speed. I've replaced the switch on the brake master. And I've replaced the clutch safety switch. Today I swapped in a replacement brake light switch.
My horn works so I dont think its clock spring. While surfing through the forums I found a self test and diagnosis thread. I followed the instructions and got no response whatsoever. Any help would be appreciated. Truck info: 2008 F350 CCLB 6spd Manual 150k miles.
Other issues. The auto climate control button doesn't work. However if I hit the fan button or ac button the air works. Idk if there's any issues with that.

Gas or diesel? The circuits are slightly different. If diesel, have you checked fuse F70 under the hood?
Do the brake lights work properly?
Have you scanned the PCM for any fault codes related to the VSC system? They're non-MIL.
The horn uses different conductors in the clockspring. You cannot eliminate the clockspring if the horn works.
There is no "self-test" that you can run on this truck without a scan tool. Whatever procedure you found is for something else and isn't applicable to your situation.
