I forgot it was a new month. Thanks for the thread starter.

Been busy getting set up for the new job training that starts tomorrow.

Today is our 18th wedding anniversary. I can't believe she has let me live this long!

Congratulations on your 18th wedding anniversary Greg. Hope you have many more!
No worries on starting the thread. Has Donna flown the coop, or is she still around?

Sucks getting called into work on a Sunday Pat, but at least the paycheck will be better.

Morning everyone.

I start my new job training today. I spent most of the weekend getting setup and the bugs works out of a failed windows update that almost bricked my laptop.
I am sure Donna is still around but she doesn't get much online time. Between her work and all the graduations over the last couple weeks I bet she has had her hands full.

I think I will be getting one of the All in one computers for this job once I get a paycheck. I think it will be perfect for it and save me a lot of space and hassle.

Good luck with your new job Greg. Hope it works out well for you.

I am going to try once more to get Windows 10 back on my main computer. I had to install Windows 7 home premium last December when that irrevocable boot error rendered Windows 10 useless. I contacted Microsoft about the issue, and they downloaded Win 10 onto a USB drive for me and gave me instructions on how to unzip and install it. However, I kept getting an error message. Looking up the error message on Google told me it has something to do with the USB buffer. Since it was a USB 2.0 drive instead of 3.0, I bought a 3.0 this past Thursday. Will contact Microsoft again and see if they can help. Maybe walk me through it this time. She offered last time, but I turned it down thinking it would be a no brainer.Should have let her. Second time I contacted them, this guy tells me the download is expecting Windows 8.1 to be on the computer, not 7. Says I will have to do a complete install, and have to back up my files. So I try that, get the same error message. ( I am thinking, copy everything from the 2.0 drive to the 3.0 drive and try one more time. If I get the same error message, I will contact Microsoft again. They are going to discontinue support for 7 in about a year, so i want 10 back on. All my other computers have it already.

good luck with getting 10 working. I like it, but updates on older machines like my laptop can cause major issues.

Windows 10 installed without a glitch this time. I guess the USB 2.0 device was either too slow, or is defective somehow. However, it works fine when copying photo and document files, it is just painfully slow.

Happy last day of school (for some, even here in Fresno, so kids get out next Thursday, not today, but my grand kids are off in two hours!)
