Not sure what I have. I have 2 302 motors. I was told one was a 302 out of an 85 mustang. When I tore it apart it has flat top piston, rollars, and what look like high compression heads. The only # I can find are 22 E63E HA on the block and CP 6C10 on the heads and 2MAE 10C SMW on the crank. The problem is I want to rebuild it but the Motor mont bolt holes are broke. But I have another 302 block but the # are not the same. They are 21 E5AE C3B. Can I use it with the other parts. The piston rods have the same #. could use some help.
Thanks
I've always understood that, somewhere on the block, you will find a casting number with 6015 in the middle - something like C7OE-6015-A. The 6015 is Ford's base part number for ALL engine blocks. The prefix and suffix letters and numbers determine the exact type of block and what year. See if you can find the 6015 numbers and post them. There are some real pros here that will identify the blocks for you.
That website help to find when it was made. What I need is the size of the motor. And what kind of heads they are. Is there a website that can help? Because I am new to ford.
I could not find anything about your engine's heads using the numbers you found on them, but maybe this other website...
I know this might not be exactly what you're looking for, but it may help. This page explains Ford's part numbers and date coders, and at the end they talk about the heads. If I understood everything correctly, they say some of the measurements of the heads made by Ford. Maybe you could compare those measurements with the ones of your heads, and then you may be able to figure out if they are special or not...
