Those of you who used the re-pro 1953-55 Ford F-100 hoods , how was the fit or did it need lots of work-- are they complete with hood rod supports and 7/16 '' threads for shoulder bolts--- pictures--
( or will settle for a good complete original hood if you know of any ) -- THANKS

Ok. We're the repop hoods built well and look right? I plan on going tomorrow. I don't need a hood but want to look at them. Who had them? Carpenter, mid West Early Ford?
Re-pop hood I got it at Carlisle at early ford...they actually gave me a deal on it because I'm sure there a pain in the **** to keep boxing and moving...... my hood fits pretty good...has all the problems everybody always complains about......
I might add I have talked to guys that do the front hood tilt and actually seem to have better fitment ......I'm thinking my issues are probably hood hinge adjustments.....
I forgot to say my front fenders are repop as well.....and the grill I got at mid fifties.....it was actually a "second" meaning it was like half the price because it had a blemish in the chrome...but I thought it was fine...and I'm pretty maticulous with my vehicles.....
Mid West Ford had them at $ 795.00-- looked nice-- did not know about how the fit-up was so I passed until I can find out from persons that used them -- would of saved dollars on shipping---

I just got back from Carlisle. I looked at Mid West Early ford hood. It looked good but like you said you don't know about fitment. But Jafo Joe seems pleased. They will be at Carlisle for the Ford Nationals June 1,2,3 if you can wait that long.
Like I said they actually gave me a great deal!....... stating they had brought 5 and sold 2...... they were a real pain to box up and making sure they don't get dented.....I got mine a while back so if anything they maybe better
