I live about 30 minutes away in SLC, that is too bad to hear. I am sick of seeing so many houses popping up everywhere. It is worth a trip out there to check it out for sure. If i find some time i will make it happen and share a report.
Am very interested in '51-'52 Magic air heaters , fresh air tubes , Cable control panels & etc. also '48-'50 FORD script fresh air heaters ,blower motor housings , standard FORD block lettered heaters and any 5 star extra cab parts . Please take some pics & thank you , Denny
Am planning a mid summer Parts Safari / recon to \Wis . May need to make a detour to Utah .
I Just got off the phone with Mcbride. They have crushed over 3000 cars and have only 400 left. He said they crushed about 40 f100's last week as they were all in one section. Makes me sick.
He said they still have some random parts out there like fenders and hoods and stuff so i might still go take a look. I wish i would have known a month ago.
I find it odd that a place like that " no doubt having had a reasonable amount of time " would not have placed some brand specific ads in forums such as this . You would think even at cut prices it would be far more lucrative than crushing .

A story repeated many times in the last decade... no attempt at marketing for years, then scrap it out. It doesn't help that they are in the middle of nowhere.
its happening more an more to those old junk yards. Wish I knew how to find out more about these places shutting down. He said Jay Leno came and got two cars he had so he was able to found out somehow.

I haven't been there for a few years maybe 5? boy time fly's I don't recall him having 40 f100's but maybe a half dozen 53 to 56 and half a dozen 48-52 trucks in varying portions of being dismantled. not anything in great shape from recollection. I got a f1 front clip, and a few random parts. and dug through all the tire and wheel piles looking for treasures, then later went back and got a few wing vent frames for the 53 c600. it is a shame if they really crushed so many vehicles. I'm sure they could have sold alot of them for a little more than scrap price and they could have gone to good homes. they have been talking about this coming for years so they could have marketed better.
they did have a really cool 52 F6 wrecker Holmes if I remember correctly. it was a rust bucket but would have been worthwhile to swap better body onto or use the holmes. I searched back through some of my old pictures but couldnt find anything.
Highdesert, if you get out there please post up some pictures if anything is left.
right at minute 7:10 is a decent shot of the 52 f6 Wrecker truck. I also sold him a few of the oil cans in his gas station collection. Wish I could have had the tour inside the buildings.
Jmadsen, good find on the video. I made it out there on Friday as I've been looking for a bumper and running boards, ect. There were definietly no F1's or 53-56 f100's. There were 2 or 3 newer f100s and these two wreckers, (one from the video). Not my thing but i bet a guy could pick them up really cheap. other than that,a few slant cab doors but that was really about it. Place has definitely been picked pretty hard.
